With a twinscrew, 4:10s and 18s I would launch @ no more than 3500
I have a Kenne Bell @ 13psi, DFX clutch, 3:73s, 305/35/18s and if I launch @ anything over 3500 I spin.
I think Stkjock can launch @ 4700 cause he has a centri blower and it makes touque @ a higher rpm than a twinscrew
But try it both ways and let us know what works for you

I tried 4K, it blew the tires off, 3500 and it was fine. 1.8 just seems high to me I guess.....

Ive seen flounderlipps pull mid 1.5s a few times almost going in the 10s with 18" MT radials. I would have to agree with what he said, cause I HAD the same setup as the OP.

I pulled a 1.67 60ft. with ultralites and the rest of the suspension being stock. Launched at 4000rpm and hooked hard with M/T ET's bias plys. Next time out I'm gonna be trying 5000rpm launches.

it is IMHO, I gotta believe that the car has more in it. the burnout maybe the issue. any vids of your runs?

maybe you'll need to slip the clutch then from a higher RPM

My point was you can make a car hook with a screwed up pinion angle but the instant center has to be right.
