Couple 0f questions

What is your intake temp? I am using the stock sensor and an Aeroforce Interceptor gauge and on an 80 degree day, was reading 135. Before shaker, I would usually run about 10 -20 degrees warmer than air temp. I would have thought that it would be about same or better than thru the CAI had in the engine compartment.

Anyone cut out the rain guard? Much benefit to do so? I also wonder if the air doesn't get hotter getting to the filter since it has to travel around the guard.... Any, My car is usually just a sunshine car, but sometimes a weather change while at work will find me in rain, or if on a weekend trip. So would cutting this out get me into trouble? Wish there was a way to "flip a switch" to go back and forth.
