Does the Predator tuner have a program for 93 octane with the C&L cai? Thanks

The 2005 GT Predator comes with the following 3 tunes:


Performance Tune for 93 octane
Performance Tune for 91 octane
Performance Tune for 87 octane

and yes they have tune for the C&L cai.

 

Branded or non branded Predator?

 

I know the Predator comes with the three tunes. You have to go to the Diablo site for the C&L cai and download them into the tuner. I have did this twice and find no 93 octane download. The stock tunes will not work with the C&l cai. I haven't got a clear answer from Diablo. They just tell me it comes with three tunes. If you do not use the C&L tune the check engine light will code that the engine is lean. The downloads are not titled so I have not been able to tell one from the other. Has anybody actually downloaded a 93 octane tune specifically for the C&L cai?

 

I have the Predator w/Diablo tune for the Steeda CAI and it's designed for 93 octane. I accidently ran 87 through it and those valves yelled at me for a few day's. Sorry GT.

 

Once your at the download page they ask what 5 digit code is with the predator. You pick the download that matches your numbers from the predator and the tunes are downloaded as one. When you bring up the one tune in your car it will say 93 octane once you choose it. I think it is called the performance tune for the C&L. That is what I am running and I love it.

 

I believe what happens is that after you download the C&L tune from diablosport, you get 2 installed on the Predator. 1 will say C&L and the other will say C&L 91. The "C&L" I believe is the 93 octane version as per the C&L instructions they only have 2 tunes. If you run 87 octane they recommend removing 20% timing from the tune. Hope that helps.
