Perfectly reasonable IMO.

Keep in mind though that the Auto and Manual have different gearing ratios.

1st is very similar, 2nd and 3rd are lower in the auto, 4th is the same but 5th/OD is different. 5th = 0.68 and O/D = 0.75.

So with an auto and 4.10s at 70 you'll be doing 2663 rpm (vs 2150 stock 3.31). 5th in a manual is 2415. This is assuming a stock 27" tall tire.

If I didn't do so much highway I'd go with 4.10s in my auto but as it is, 3.73 for me.

this is how it all starts,lol.....in a few weeks that extra boost wont feel like much of a boost anymore.....then you will start to shop for a supercharger......afte the supercharger gets old , it will be time to build the block, then up the boost, then port the heads and add cams, etc. etc. etc.......welcome to the club!!

$$$ count, but I have to admit I have been educating myself including reading the stuff on this board. I have to admit I don't understand everything I read. I wouldn't mind boosting it if I can maintain daily driver reliability. I am not hard on my car; most of the time I drive it like an average joe. But every now and then...

So, what could move me up to around 400hp and not bend anything?

you could get a novi or a vortech to get you there, normal driveing will not be effected, just beware that once you put it on there, you will be using it alot more than you think.

I'm pushing out over 400 rwhp and love it! I think you can get away with that much hp and still have a good daily driver. If you are looking for a magic number most people will agree that it is 500 hp at the crank before you need to start getting worried. Lots of people are around that number with no issues what-so-ever. Now that isn't to say that if you go that high you won't have any problems but most people have no issues. If you are worried about destroying something then boosting is probably not the way to go....the saying goes you "gotta pay to play". If you still wanna boost your ride you could go with a conservative tune to keep things on the safer side.

Novi looks interesting. I'm calling them today. (I can't believe I am even considering this...it truly is an addiction).
