the problem is the diameter of the fill hose to the tank.... the amount of vapors that shoot back up make the nozzles click off.... well the older nozzles. The nozzles you see at newer gas stations actually flow slower than the older bigger bulky nozzles. but yeah holdin the nozzle upside down always does the trick for me too... just them engineering gremlins that arise everyso often....

That's what she said

My 07 will try to do this from time to time. I start it at a trickle and slowly increase to full flow from the nozzle.

Funny I see this post come back up.

My 06 did this also but not as bad as my friends 06.

He had it every time he filled up.

Regardless, we just held the nozzle upsidedown/flipped over and it filled up in one shot.

We looked weird doing it and were asked questions almost every fill up but hey!!!!!!!!

My 15 did this a few times as well which seemed odd to me but the trick worked on it as well so I just let it go.

Yep, I just turn the nozzle 45 degrees to the left and pump slow. No big deal. I do get funny stares...but they are just jealous.
