I am lucky enough to live within 2 hours of him, so I just went to his house to get my cai/tune. Neenner neenner neenner.

After seeing his setup, I completely believe how busy he is. Not that there's anything wrong with his setup, but with the amount of demand he has from people all over the country I can see how he gets overwhelmed. His office is in a front bedroom of his house, he doesn't have an actual warehouse or building specifically for the business anymore. He is definitely not a scammer though, he's a really nice guy and I would trust him with my money/car if you are able to wait.

I did try getting a re-tune through e-mail and it took over a month after e-mails and phone calls. But hey, he gave me 3 re-tunes FOR FREE (even though one of them was messed up). His race tune is so SICK. Absolutely SICK. I really noticed the difference between it and the 87 tune after I got the 4.10's. Glad I won't be needing another tune from him for awhile though. The next one I'll need will be a dyno tune, so I'll be able to go see him in person again so I don't have to wait.

I got my money back yesterday and I ordered from Brenspeed. Bama might make good tunes, but I want customer service and not a long wait.

my experience with bama has been excellent. ordered my cai+tune from them. i messed up when ordering the tune and was sent a new tune the next day. my tunes were the basic tunes he probably has on file already. but i would recommend bama to anyone. so far so good. im sure we could find a bad thread on any of the three (bama, brenspeed, vmp)

let us know how the Brenspeed run. I'm going to use them when I finally decide to void my warranty

true that

most of the times it all boils down to non-communication

ive been trying to reach them for about a week now to get a re-tune for CMCV delete plates. one person answered me once, but all he said was that i need to get my tuner serial number, which i did. tried sending numerous emails, ive been calling several times a day, with no answers. im getting dynotuned next week, but i cant install these plates then drive the car there...i need the tunes ASAP!

its been a couple years since i got my tunes from him but he's updated them since then a couple different times for various parts swaps. getting him on the phone is hit or miss, if i remember i seemed to have better luck in the morning. that said, all of the times i needed to deal with him i was taken care of within a couple days and while i havent had a tune from anyone else i CAN say that his are excellent.

I have read the threads on Bama Chips and wasnt sure because of the customer service even if the tunes are great so I ordered my SCT X3 from Brenspeed and paid to have expedited , well there was a mix up and they didnt I see the extra money I paid for it to be expedited, I emailed them the next day and they assured me that it would be going out , I called them the next day to find out more information, they told me they sent it next day air, got the tracking number and conformation later that day , now thats what I call great customer service. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat, customer service is number one with me!!!

I have been waiting on bama for a long time for my CAI/xcal3. I finally got to talk with doug on thurday last week. He seemed like a really nice guy and assured me it was going out that day. He emailed me tracking, it went out, and I got it tuesday. I put it in last night, and DAMN! It really wakes the car up. My car definetly got a little lead in its pencil last night. I always run 91 octane (93 is the highest in my area). I got a 91 torque, 91 perf, and a 93 torque. I am running the 91 torque right now, its amazing.

I got my Brenspeed tunes Monday and of course I wasnt able to empty the fuel tank for the 91 race tune yet so I installed the 87 performance tune and HOLY############ , wow amazing difference, I went from a sled to a Saturn V rocket I kid you not, I cant wait to install my 91 tune, for those that want to wait dont ( what ever tuner you go with ), my Brenspeed tune is awesome, sorry I waited this long, Instead of appearance mods I should have done this sooner, now this is what a Mustang GT should feel like !!!!
