These situations don't typically get better they get worse until the vendor just gives up and then many people can be left out in the cold. If a vendor has time to answer pre-sales questions quickly they should be able to provide current customers with timely responses. That is just basic customer service. This sort of thing typically happens from vendors who are a one-man-show and only sell via a forum or multiple forums.

That is just my opinion.
Agreed. I was going to go Bamachips, but all this info has me totally rethinking it.

Again, internet "he said, I read, I heard"...... Seriously though, those that are in the market for a tune, did you call? Or aren't calling because, "oh I heard he isn't answering his phone" When I placed my order it was over the internet, then the next day I followed up with a call. Got it that same night.... All of us as consumers should take the necesary responsible steps to make sure we aquire what we are paying for....

Sure he should get someone to answer his phones or email but would that really help? He is the one who sends the emails, writed the codes and places the vendor orders so in essence you would be getting a minimum wage lacky telling you, I'll let my over busy boss know that you called.
I agree he needs to fix his operation but he didn't get so popular or have the rep he does being bad at what he does.
he can have his assistant write everything his costumers are asking through email or phone. tell him the questions while he is working and write down the answers he is giving. then reply to everyone who had a question, doesn't seem that hard

I have no complaints at all about Bama. Fast service, and got my tunes 2 days after ordering. Compared to all the horror stories I have heard about them. But All i ordered was the 3 tunes through email so that might make a difference aswell. Just my experience with them.

I hate bashing a guy. So I'll refrain from giving opinions and state some facts pertaining to my experience.

My 1st tune from Bama for a simple CAI mod = 50% mpg reduction and V-6 like performance. Awful.

My 2nd tune from Bama to fix the 1st tune = like-stock performance. Disappointed. I didn't pay for a CAI, tuner & tune to feel like stock

My 3rd tune from Bama for LT header mode = HUGE power improvement and I suspect it was more about finally having the tune right and less about having LT headers

BUT...this 3rd tune did not correctly tune for O2 issues present with LT headers and I was getting a CEL for delayed O2 response.

My 4th tune - did not fix CEL

Bought TWO sets of rear O2 senors...still have CEL

My 5th & 6th tunes from Bama - still have CEL

Gave up on Bama and went with VMP Tuning. First VMP tune did not fix CEL. Second VMP tune fixed the CEL and I've been good ever since.

I know on GM cars most tuners just turn off the rear O2 sensors because even when they are properly extended they don't get hot enough most times and throw a CEL. I assume that the tuner can just turn off the rear O2 sensors on a Mustang as well. Honestly, you don't need rear O2 sensors you only really need the front sensors.

basically it boils down to basic business, regardless of size of the business. If you heard a place had issues with customer service, i doubt you would say to yourself, ill give them the benefit of the doubt with my money. No, most people would say I am not taking a chance on the service im going to receive. There are always people who have good and bad experiences with a company, but if you see the majority are negative...

negative from those who haven't tried his stuff.... I keep readin bout, "oh I aint callin him" or it took me this x amount of time to get my stuff.... I work on classic cars for a living and do a lot of work out of my house. I got a good reputation, I am ONE man and do get busy and a lot of my customers do me the favor and give refferals for me. Some people call me for basic simple stuff I tell them, hey I want to work on your car but give me 2-3 weeks. What do I get? Oh for sure no problem then the job gets setup. Point is they know my quality of work and if they choose to wait for a good job, they wait. If not? No hard feelings. I know waiting for stuff specially for a good amount of time sucks, but to me if I know the product is gonna be beyond what I expect, I got no problem waiting for it. Look at the post above, the Brenspeed tune doesn't like the heat? The Bama tune I got has no problem running good in 100+ degree heat which is how hot it is right now where I live. I am more worried about quality than quantity. I would rather wait for something good, than something that is slightly better than the pre-loaded tunes that came with my hand held. I have heard a lot more GOOD things than BAD from Bamachips.... I just don't believe in Bashin someones business over the net cuz it took a while to get your stuff.... I used his product and backin him up as much as I can.
