My brenspeed tune has a 6800rpm limiter on it....while 7100 is too high IMO, the car is fine revving to 6500rpm. I just started shifting at 6500 on my last trip to the track and that extra 300 is slack just so it doesn't bounce off the limiter. The car is fine with that also 99% of dyno's run the car 6500rpm.
Revving the car under 6k is too low, these motors peak around 6k and only slightly drop off after that(with a tune). Reason for shifting after that is to raise the rpm for the next gear bringing it higher in the powerband. You're fine

Yes you should.....ford set it to 6200(don't quote me) from the factory. 5800???? With your mods your car probably makes peak hp over 6k. Take a look at your dyno graph and it will tell you. Personally I think you should set it a couple hundred rpm over peak and you should be good

SO i lowered the rev limiter to 6200 and changed all the Shift Points to 5850 1st, 5950 2nd, 6000 3rd, and 6100 to fourth ! SOOO much better ! No more over reving ! Dont know why they were set soo high before. But none the less all better thanks for all the input guys/gals!

Granted it's a manual, but my best shift points have always been in the 6400-6600rpm range. Generally, the best shift point is the one the drops it down to the torque peak rpm in the next gear. 5500 would be a bit on the low side for the OP's mods and tune.
