Default Paint Coded Screw Covers?

Well, I live in Texas ... and for those that do not know, we are required to have a license plate in the front.

However, it is okay to have it in your window -- as long as there is something up there.

Since I've installed a Eleanor grille, and plan to do another chin spoiler of some type .. I've got to get the plate off of there ... problem is, I've got silver screws holding the plate on.

Does anyone sell paint coded specific screw covers? Instead of trying to match up some blue .. it would be easier to just buy them.

-thanks-

You can go to the hardware store, and look in the section with screws and misc fasteners. They should have little flat plastic covers that are meant to hide screws. Use a bottle of touch up paint to paint them, and then use a little adhesive or glue to hold them in place in the holes on your bumper.

OP, you are lucky, in Virginia you will get a ticket for having the plate in the window, it must be on the bumper... that sucks.

My car was originally a Virginia car, hence the reason I had to find a way to hide the holes. I feel for you Virginia guys. Plates on the front are just plain ugly.

The covers match the paint better than the picture shows. The camera flash makes the color of the car and the plugs a look little different.

I was gonna make the same suggestion. Home depot has some little covers what have a hole the screw goes through then a cap that snaps over the screw. I used them to cover rivets on my jet ski and they are holding up to some thrashing very well. I imagine a $5 bottle of touch up paint + the few cents for the covers would make for a cheap fix
