Dayum!

I miss all the good stuff!

See what I get for not logging in when it gets busy at work? []

How come nobody deletes my stuff... I'm always putting my stupid foot in my mouth and then I go back to try and delete it and the system won't let me delete my own posts.... LOL

On the older stangs... I saw on the new this morning they might be recalling all the 2002 Mustangs.... seems the throttle sticks wide open - until the car hits another solid object. THEN it releases!

NICE Feature. Built in obsoleteness. Design a car so the throttle sticks after 3 years and people will have to purchase new ones.

HEY.. how did Dan get a Mod thingie!.... he never made it to 5th gear!.. HAHA and he has a really small weiner

EDIT: Are you happy now? I edited one of your posts. There was nothing worth deleting though [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

love, mike [8D]

Perfect example of what should be here.

Someone moved the post " 2005 mustang on Overhaulin" to OFF-TOPIC

This one even has 2005 in the title. Is solely about the 2005, and shows incredible pictures of what Chip Foose does to the 2005 stang. Why in the world is this NOT RELEVANT to what would interest people here in the 2005 forum. I thought the topic WAS 2005? Off-Topic? I just don't get it and i think it is wrong. Just my opinion.

Well DC.....one could argue that all the mods Chip did to the engine were technical, or maybe all the new exhaust work from magnaflow was TECHNICAL, or maybe a supercharger it technical. I don't know all that he did to it without rereading the posts, but he sure didn't spend alot of time painting it or cutting out rust. Mostly EVERYTHING HE DID was TECHNICAL.

People that log in to this specific forum are looking for info SPECIFIC to the 2005. I could care less about a 1980 mustang. Not that there is anything wrong with one, I just have no interest. All the people in here had more than a common car, they had a bond of buying a new model, there are new dynamics to the 2005 which causes interest from guys like Carrol Shelby and Chip Foose.

I have never voiced one opinion here about the forums, but I have to say this post is a perfect example of one not to move. I am sure most people here would agree. If it was not there probably would never see it.

How to take a convertle thru a car wash ins't that technical either maybe. But that is what the convertible discussion is now talking about, along with the wax to help allow auto washes. The thing is, the 2005 is a new model that may or may not leak like no other existing convertible. It should be in a forum specific to the 2005!!!

Just think about what poeple are interested in, and how they will look for it. Moving stuff around so carelessly simply frustrates everyone in my opinion. I will be anxious to hear what others thing about what i have said.

Question for our 2005 Moderator(s) -

Would it be possible to show the "moved" topics at the top of the 2005 forum? If you created a "MOVED" section under the ones shown at the top, then we could easily see that a topic which may or may not be relevant for the 05 Tech area is now located elsewhere. That would allow us 05 owners (and the patient folks waiting for their 06) the ability to check in here and then venture to other sections if a moved topic if of interest. After a specified period of time, that moved posting in the 05 section could be removed.

Still, I think this forum is worth every penny!

this is supposed to be a tech section for '05+ models. Off topic, is off topic. If someone had posted in the 4.6 section about a 2004 mustang being on overhaulin, we would have moved it into off topic.....same with 5.0, classics, V6, etc.

Originally, we left everything in here because there were only a handful of owners of the new model. Now we have so many members and many new ones coming on board with the '06 model coming out that it becomes necessary to start putting posts in the appropriate sections. This is mustangforums.com - we cater to over 40 fabulous years of Mustangs. In order for this site to work, everybody follows the same procedures. Including the people in this section.
