With steel belted I have always switch front to rear without X crossing them.. I have had the belt come appart from having the tire turn the "other" direction and it wasn't fun.

Belt coming apart wasnt because of change of direction. Unless it was a Bias Ply tire, or very very old radial.
Or maybe it was a Firestone O.o

It won't be possible for some of us to rotate front to back. We have different size tires in back so we have to change the tires from wheel to wheel each time we rotate. Costs about fifteen bucks at Discount tires.

I have just bought different size tires for the front and back on mine (25/285) and have been told I cannot move em at all.......first time I have ever had different size tires on front to back!
