RE: 2005 GT insurance question Best insurance/service?
My uncle uesd to work for a repair shop that wouldn't fix a vehicle with Progressive insurance. Too hard to work with them or get them to pay. Our car (not the Mustang) was once backed into by a Progressive salesman while it was parked (pretty straight foreward) and Progressive wouldn't even help him. We had to sue him to get Progressive to pay for repairs.
I have had claims to both American Family and Mutual of Omaha (may not be in Calif.) and they have each been very nice and easy to work with. Mutual of Omaha even went to bat for us against some lawyers that wanted $1 million!! They kept the claim down to our liability limit of $50,000. I found that impressive since all they really were obligated to do was fork over the $50 G and leave us to handle the rest.
I guess it comes down to why you are insuring your car. To have a piece of paper, or to be protected. Cheaper is not always better.
