Thanks itsokimapilot!

I was really happy to get that extra $750. It expires on 1/11/10 so even if the car slips past the 1/4/10 rebates I will still have a week. Who knows, Ford might even get more aggressive after 1/4.

At this point I am sooooo ready for the car.

You will love it, I am sure. I have been driving mine for less than a week but I have pushed her pretty hard a couple of times. It really will haul and sounds terrific.

There are plenty of posts on X-Plan but the basics are that on a qualifying Ford vehicle it is Dealer Invoice - 0.4 % + $275. For me this ends up being about $200 over invoice. Finally Ford is doing $1500 cash back on 2010's until 1/4/10.

I hope my car arrives in 2009 so I can take advantage of the Obama TARP tax credit.

We'll see...
Wasnt me that said it I didnt know about that one..

My deal isn't done yet but I've already told the guy what I'm willing to pay.. Go to TrueCar.com.. Put in your ordering specs. You will see the price spread. From window sticker all the way down to estimated dealer price.. I took the print out, with me to the dealer and beat him over the head with it.. Told them I will give them 1200 over there price shown by True Car.. Thats five hundred under what he wants.. Said he would give it to me for five hundred under invoice.... You see, when it gets down to it. There going to make there money six ways of sunday.. Bieng that I used to work in the car business I know the game..

If your loan is through Ford, they make money on the interest.. Then you have Gap Insurance they make some there. If they sell you extended warranty they get money on that as well. Then they chew you down on your trade in and make money there.. (They call that the front end.) Plus a few other goodies I'm probably not even aware of.. Like I told em.. You get paid for handling the sale.. This is what I'm willing to pay you for handling the sale.. NO more!

Plus I went out of my way to think about the dealership I went too. A local dealership sitting on a corner, that is dying in the water.. Three lots have went under around them in the last year. Only ones left on the corner, are the Dodge dealership I used to work at, across the street and them.. There hurting for sales and I know it...

My ride is due in on the 24th.. I cant wait!
