This is just too weird... I looked in the pdf version Owners Manual for my '07 and could not find the spec'd base curb weight of the car. The car's nameplate will have the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) – "...is the maximum allowable weight of the fully loaded vehicle (including all options, equipment, passengers and cargo).
The GVWR is shown on the Safety Compliance Certification Label located on the B-Pillar or the edge of the driver’s door."

Never owned a car that didn't have the curb weight listed in the OM...

I always thought our cars were closer to 3600-3800 but I'd love to know what my 07 manual weights

This discussion just happened over on MF. Ford has been very unclear about this.

The stock curb weight(full tank) of a fully loaded 06' Mustang GT premium package manual coupe with Shaker 1000(subwoofer) option was listed as being aprox. 3515 by various sources in 2006 according to my notes at the time.

This makes sense as my car had only the shaker 500 option(minus subwoofer, 20lbs) but had the rest of the premium package, and was delivered @ 3484 lbs according to the delivery truck manifest for the dealership in LA where I bought my car. I wrote the weight on a business card the night I picked it up, since it had just been delivered, and was the only evidence I ever saw of the cars weight.

The 06 premium coupe automatics weighed 3550 or so as I recall, according to articles I remember reading at the time. The 07' manual Mustangs as I recall were 55 lbs or so heavier than the 05' and 06's because of the chassis welding for the heavier GT500 platform. Erik

I've been trying to find this out as well, a buddy of mine suggested that I go to a truck weigh station (they are found on the major interstates). According to him they will weigh your car (with you in it) from $10 to $20 bucks. One of these days I'm going to give it a shot!

alright cool, yeah thats what i was confused about. i had heard that the 07+ were heavier but i forgot that it was for the welding of the gt 500 chasis. how much do you think a full tank of gas adds on to our gt's weight? stupid question, but im curious to know. thanks

The first thing I'm doing when I get a s197 is drive it to the local landfill or quary and weigh it on the scales. Wonder how accurate they are...

I'm in the process of taking 200 lbs off my car, and about 87 lbs of that will be rotating mass if considering Drive shaft, flywheel, much lighter wheels, rotors, tires.

All told it's worth about an equivalent 45-50 HP. Erik
