Default underbody v6 2011 and ACS cobra

Just taken at the LA Auto Show today. Interesting underbody shots of the 2011 V6 and ACS Cobra running in the SPEED World Challenge

Only thing that stood out is that it looks like the V6 will be running w/ an aluminum driveshaft by the looks of it. Correct me if im wrong.

And of course the amazing ACS Cobra. Speaks for itself. Full carbon body. Full carbon interior. Spec sheet included.

it says they took a 5.4L aluminum block and made it into a 6.0L good for 550HP @7400 RPM.

I only bring it up because I've been trying to come up with a good motor combo for a project car... I wanted something large, but that I could put a modern day twin screw on. That might be a winning combination.

well, you can get a 4.6 hot rod crate motor from FRPP for around $6500. With new technology, bigger displacement...I would think maybe.....8Kish....just a guess though. That problem is going to be that there will be so much new stuff with the 5.0 over the 4.6 that you'd have to get all new wiring harnesses and comp to run it all.

I'm looking at building an old rat rod, but with old school looks and modern comforts. I want about 750hp on tap on a 2200lb frame. Would make for fun weekend driving.

I'm looking at getting the 2.9L supercharger, but I want to strenghten my bottem end up for at least 1000hp. I was thinking of maybe getting a new 5.4L block (iron block only $600...would rather have the aluminum one though)...and bore it out to the 6.0L. Make it good for 1500hp...put everything from my engine on it and slap on that 2.9L. That would make it a killer combo!

Nice pics thanks it confirmed what I though about the 2011 3.7 using an H pipe setup I bet dollars-donuts it would send sound better with an X pipe and some more aggressive mufflers. Also it does appear that the 2011 has a alum driveshaft wonder if this will make it into production? I also don't see the rear wheel well spats am I blind?
