Angry wipeout!

Had the first snow of the year yesterday.. wiped out like a full on retard today and wrecked my stang on the guard rail. The ground surface was fairly dry but as I was going uphill, I must of hit a patch of black ice, lost control, tried very hard to stabilize (I let up the gas and tried to cruise it out) but still ended up spinning out. I was lucky I didn't take anyone else with me, crossed 2 lanes until I wrecked. Sigh. Think I should of just tried to wipe out in the ditch instead, probably would of spared the damages.

The front left is completely smashed up to the fog light, the guard rail wailed down the whole left side and the left rear is crushed from the fuel door to the lights. Would insurance consider this a total loss or will they try to repair?

My poor baby, I am so heartbroken. I save it from a car jacking just to wreck it

Damn that sucks! The main thing is you are OK after both ordeals.

As for the car, you never know what the insurance will do but we all hope it works out well! Winter is a tough time for our ponies

Glad to hear you are alright. Do keep us updated on what your insurance has to say.
I think as long as the frame isn't bent, they may try to repair it. My daughter wrecked her 2006 Focus back in April and did almost $7K worth of damage. They repaired it and did a very great job. It looks brand new.

As long as the repairs are not more than 80% of the value of the car they should fix it.

Sorry to hear about the car and glad also that you're ok.

If it's mainly body damage only, I think the insurance company will come thru for you. Good luck.

Thanks for all the support. Got a bit jolted and sore, but think I'll be ok. Here are some images. Watch out! n00b stang driver coming thru!! It's my first stang and it will NOT be my last!! Will definitely keep ya'll posted. It was rather embarrassing watching all the rubber neckers

Do you think they will have to "cut and paste" the rear quadrant? As for the value of the car.. that just plummeted today. Oh well, had the 50th anniversary edition in mind when it comes out and use this one as a trade-in..

Been thinking about a chin spoiler too. Good thing I didn't jump the gun on that one
