Been thinking about a chin spoiler too. Good thing I didn't jump the gun on that one
The common thing to do is to splice it right at the quarter window...
If you go higher or too forward, then you have to get into the roof integrity and worry about water proof etc...

Like everyone said, it's not too bad and since you wacked both bumpers, now is the time to go with the GT/CS kit. At least on the back.
Too bad you didn't destroy your hood because at $1290 retail, you could have gotten a nice aftermarket one for less than $500, take care of your deductible and have a little dough left...

Make sure you take it to a good shop and remember... the Insurance cannot force you to go to their preferred shop, which usually sucks.
Good luck.

Stock Pirellis and I also hear they suck...going from that pic I don't think they'd be very good on slippery surfaces. Mine came with BF Goodrich Traction T/A's which are sitting in bags now that winter's here. Now I have Blizzaks on all 4 corners and 100 lbs. worth of salt bags in the trunk.

Just wondered if you had snow tires on when you spun out...if so I would have been extremely worried...not that snow tires prevent all spin-outs, lol. When it comes to driving on black ice, NOTHING is safe!

I still don't get how I really slipped, it seemed like a complete freak accident going up a straight strip. I must of just hit an unfortunate streak of patches of black ice.

Doing doughnuts was kinda fun, but not in the middle of the road
Dude, sorry to hear about your accident. Im in the CT, and it must have been the same storm. Your probably better to hold off on the bigger tire until spring. The narrower the tire the more grip youll have. If your going to be driving it all winter i would try to get some good winter tires. This is probably the worst time of year to try and drive a mustang around. The temps change at such a drastic rate that it seems to produce the "deadly" black ice. Your lucky,it could of been a lot worse. I was lucky when I had a similar incident, I was coming DOWN a big hill when it started FREEZING RAINING. Wouldnt have been so lucky if there was another car though. Bounced off 2 curbs on either sides of the street,no control at all,Ice is like that. Like the other guys have said, try to turn this into a positive for yourself get her fixed up better than she was. I agree doughnuts are a blast until you are looking directly into the eyes of the guy that was behind you. Take care and be careful out there neighbor

Sorry for the delay - here are the pictures.

Before the accident:

The Damage:

If you look on the ground, there is an orange spot which means my turn signal is still blinking.

It wasn't only just the front bumper - the vender, driver's door, and the hood were damaged as well. A bunch of other parts were damaged, but those were the main ones. Oh by the way, someone stole my centered fog light grill.

Repairing process:

After it's repaired:

IMO, you should definitely check into the gt500 conversion and see what you can do. With gt500 conversion, it will make your car look so sick!

If you have any questions, let me know.

Ouch, wrecked stangs are so painful to look at, but the repairs look good on both.

Redsox401, that SUV did a number on your stang. Damn those cocky SUV's.

On my part, appears the insurance is going to have a tight grip on things. They just towed it to the shop today but I have not heard from the adjuster. Seems like the shop will deal directly with the insurance so I'm not sure how I will be able to sneak in any mods :x Do I get the estimate from the insurance company and then speak with the body shop directly and request the mods I want and fit it within the budget?

GT500 conversion looks sick, but I do like the classic look of the fog lights on the grill, too. Having a chin spoiler and billet grill would look hot IMO. Only if I could get a sick hood too lol. So many choices, so little time!!

I can't believe someone stole your grill, that is so wrong :0

Wow, what back luck for it to start freezing rain. I'm out in Maryland so freezes happen too much here and it gets dangerous. Sometimes it is just better to have pure snow. I do agree, I was lucky nothing else happened. I could of taken out 2 lines of cars behind me.

I still had on my stock tires, this was my first drive in winter weather with a stang. Learned my lesson well, I got bucked lol.

I know exactly what you mean 5T4NG, i drifted over some paint, lost control, then hit a curb. Right after a dyno day with a bunch of people around. The damage wasnt too bad, just a cracked radiator, bent wheel, and a scraped up bumper. But I take it easy from now on lol my buddy has hit 3 curbs in the past 6 months doing crap like that so every time he does, it reminds me why I should take it easy
