I have a 2007 vert v6. Right now I have one Gt500 take-off installed. I have heard the 2010 GT mufflers are tuned for better sound than the 2005-2009 muffs. I also know they have bigger tips.
Has anybody installed 2010 take-offs on a '05-'09? Is so, do the tips fit OK around the bumper cut-out? How is the sound and the flow on the 2010 GT's?
I ask because I tried to buy GT take-offs from a a manual transmission(F1-7849) but was sold ones from an auto(F1-7991). Mine sounds OK, but I was really wanting the sound and flow from the 7849's. I was thinking if the 2010's have as good a sound/flow as the 7849's and have better looking tips then I might try them instead...if they fit.

I have the drivers side GT takeoff from my '07 manual that I'm trying to get rid of. Where in IL are you? I'm in the Chicago NW burb area.

That would be a unique sound....7849 on the left, 7991 on the right...and then I would have 2 extra driver side mufflers.

I live in Springfield.

I dont think the tip is any bigger diameter wise, id have to go ck in the garage.
the tip is longer. heres a pic of my stock v6 muffler next to a GT C/S muff with rolled tip.


other than being longer it will fit, as far as sound cant help you.
