I'm getting rid of my antenna all together. I bought an amplified interior FM antenna. It mounts on the windshield and draws power from an Acc. circuit. Next week, my local bodyshop is filling in the antenna hole and painting the fender. Hopefully the color match will be good.

If any of you are interested, the antenna is a Metra 44-UA200 and it cost me about $20. I found it through a google search.

I'll post pictures when its done.

i like that idea, odiaz. My first antenna replacement was the exact same thing famewolf got. But I really didn't like the curly section in it, and plus it still looked a little long to me. Thats when I decided on the 8" shorty from mustangtuning. Now in my locale I don't have any local radio stations I like to tune into. So I did notice a slight drop in signal reception. But quite honestly, I'm not much of a radio person anyway. Radio doesn't play music heavy enough for my taste, so I'm a CD and mp3 guy. But I like the look of the 8" shorty the best. That is besides not having one at all, which I just may do sometime in the future.

The color match is my worry too, but the body shop is painting the mirros, the CDC spoiler and the Cervini duck tail, so I guess the antenna hole is the least of my problems.

look at the mustang pics on the ford site. there are no antennas. they are either photoshopped out or the pics are computer 3d models.
I have the pic of the windveil blue as my desktop wallpaper and just noticed this.

Am I the only one that finds it odd that we are all bragging about things being smaller and working just fine - 14", down to 12", down to 8", down to 6"....... [8D]

i have no prob with my reception. the factory anteena is way to f-ing long so i went shorter. by the way when the stubbie antenna is made out of pure stainles, then you get better reception
