Dumb question. Do these cables flap in the breeze and damage the paint on the hood? I was looking at installing a set on the vert. I was looking at the ones that AM has for 59 bucks. Anyone using these? Any other brands better/worse?

When I did the GT500 conversion on my 2005 GT, I installed the Shelby hood pins. I ran the lanyards for several weeks before removing them because they starting leaving marks on the front of the hood....the marks could be rubbed off, but I didn't like the idea of it happening...

I had the Shelby pins on my previous hood. Ran the lanyards for a while and then just removed the. I think it looks better without them.
