Prof. Tuning ... use their own Predator??
I see several posts of people saying they pay $500 and up for a dyno/tune. I would think that's the price of a H/H tuner and dyno together? Do they give you the H/H tuner after they're finished or something? If I go to a dyno shop for a dyno/ tune, don't they use their own Predator or which ever they choose?

I have the XCal, but the shop I've talked too will give you a discount if you have your own tuner...
They said it was $75 off.
And considering how many tunes I'll eventually need in the long run (after every major upgrade), the tuner should pay for itself.
Also, you get to set some of the variables yourself, so if you change tire size, gear ratio's, wanna change your rev limiter, etc... you can do it whenever you want.

i dont think they can use a different tuner. i thought the tuner downloaded your vehicles vin# and it would only work on that car unless you were just diagnosing a problem. the tuner i went to changed the tune in my predator then uploaded it into my car. i am proud to say it put out 288 ( it was 287.7) and with the nitrous 354.oh yeah, i only payed 175.00 for about 10 pulls and three hours of work.
