The first GT I saw at my work (while mine was on order) was black with 20" chrome spinners on it. I could not believe someone did that. It looks so wrong on the mustang. I never saw the guy who owned it, otherwise I would have asked him, WHY would you do that?

the general motoring public has very little imagination. they want what everyone else wants. i want to be able to find my car in the parking lot. take all the 4 door cars now and remove the badges and they are all virtually the same. personally i want lots of tire not wheel. a 20 inch or larger makes the car look like a hot wheels car. growing up i built hundreds of 1/25 scale cars, evry car make and model was available, 2 door, 4 door, convertible and even station wagon. the larger wheels today look like a 1/25 scale model wit 1/24 scale wheels and tires. LOL. a co workers son bought a near perfect 1964 Impala SS, when he drove it to school the import drivers laughed at him cause it was different. he sold it an bought a honda. !!!

Good news! They are finally available here:

http://www.fordaccessories.com/catal...andcovers.aspx

That's about the same price I paid to buy from a good seller on Ebay.
Check out the Mustang Chrome Cap also. It has a bit of the custom look and might be harder for kids to steal. The spinners will come off easily but the caps take a bit of work to pry off!
I am hoping they get there act together so I can get the Full Front End Cover with a GT logo.

Yeah I too think the spinners look really good. Of course when I tell people about them they immiediately think of the full wheel spinning while your at the red light, listening to 50 cent. [sm=pimp.gif]

Keep in mind your link is ONLY selling the center cap not the actual spinner. Here's where I bought mine. They are supposed to be shipped on the 1st. I bought the center cap from ebay.

+1, that bling-bling 20 inch crap looks like, hmmm, CRAP. It says "Look at me, I spent my last $20 at Wal-Mart". The 3-blade spinners on the other other hand look cool-retro, just like the rest of the design of the '05s.

i wish ford had called them the more accurate term "knock offs". they are simulations of the old knock off nuts that held spline hubbed wheels on a splined shaft for quick change at races or rallys. a brass hammer was used to hit one of the "levers' to remove or tighten the nut. 63 -65 corvettes used them, after that the knockoffs up to 67 were snapon covers that simulated the knockoffs. the fed made "spinners" illegal after that for pedestrian safety. LOL.
