hers a tip remove your spinners before you go in to a carwash if you dont wash your car by hand
i was stupid and short on time so i used the car wash
one of my spinners came off and i did not notice it untill i got home
i went back and found it all mangled
the wash said they were not liable for this
so ya dont use the car wash and if you do remove your spinners

They should be liable for it since it is a factory applied part.

factory or dealer applied part? Do they come like that off the line, or are they packaged and installed at the dealer. And yes it matters as far as the carwash is concerned.

That's like the signs on the back of a dump truck saying that they aren't responsible for damage. Yes they are! Just because they put it on a sign doesn't make it so!

Actually TNT, unless the debris flies straight from their vehicle to yours without touching the ground they arent. IF it touches the road first its now a road hazzard. Atleast in TN

That would be debatable in court as to which way it came. Perhaps the grassy knoll? They have signs on the trucks here that say stay back at least 200ft or they aren't responsible which goes against the road hazard excuse. Anyway much of the rocks that they slam you with are because of a broken/missing mudflap or failing to put the cover that they already have on the truck over the load. It's a crock anyway. If I put a sign on the front bumper saying that I'm not responsible for hitting pedestrians does that mean I'm exonerated? Absolutely not! Car drivers must respect pedestrians even if they are jaywalking and dumptrucks don't own the road that cars drive on and should respect their paint and windshields.

This stuff is a sore subject with me. Have you noticed?

you can always hand 'em the receipt and politely ask 'em to cough up the dough. You can easily prove it was a stock part.
