Default BamaChips Update

Just received this email from Doug.

Hello,

Im sorry to request this from you but I'm going to have to ask that you please contact either Paypal, your bank, or your credit card company in order to receive a refund for your order from BamaChips. Paypal, my main method of payment, has placed a hold on my account for nearly a month now and I've tried to get this removed and work with them fully to give them all of the information they have requested with no luck. I am unable to purchase any inventory to complete any orders.

You are FULLY covered for your purchase, please dont worry. Like I said above please contact the place with whom you submitted your payment through to Paypal on my end and your purchase is fully covered under paypal's website. I wish I could do more to refund your payments but they will not give me access even to do this for you.

Im truly sorry for the delay with this and wish you well on all of your endevours to modify your mustang. I willno longer be selling any tuning or air intake, or performance products but if need be can recommend a few good companies to go through to continue your purchases.

Thank you,

Douglas Studdard.
I know a lot of you had questions about Doug and BamaChips. Maybe this answers some of them.

I'm very glad to hear that Doug is getting things reorganized, but it's a shame that he's in that situation. Wish him the best of luck.

So he's pretty much closing his business? That sucks, he writes a great tune. I had my Brenspeed 93 tune in for a day and switched back to my Bama 93 Race. Night/day. Good luck Doug!

What is he reorganizing? Did you read it? Sadly it sounds like he is closing shop.

From a thread on another board i think he is going to try and get everything sorted out and go back to strictly tuning only. Which is basically how he started and is damn good at. There was no timeframe given for the turnaround but i would say atleast a month to get stuff straight.

Matt, the email the OP posted said he was not gonna be selling any tuning or air intakes. Did Doug mean no tuning + intakes, or no tuning period? Not sure if you know or not, just taking a shot in the dark.

the email seemed vague on that part. I was just stating what i read off the allfordmustang.com site. The info stated there was he is going back to just tunes. Maybe the tuners too. But no more cams/intakes/etc for sure.

Bottom line is he looks like he is not ripping people off like was widely assumed and is trying to get back to people about getting their money back

Thats too bad. He really had some great tunes for the auto.. luckily, I saved all of his tunes on file.

Must be hell getting things organized, I knew he wasn't ripping people off. It's probably best that he just sticks to writing tunes. If I get a 2011 GT, I'll be looking to Bama for a tune.
