I'm with matt, I'm just going off what I read on allfordmustangs.com, which is that he's reverting to strictly tunes only. There's no official word on that though. I think that'd be the best move for him to make.

From Bamachips website:

Hello and welcome to BamaChips.
We have suspended our parts sales for a few days in order to catch up on our current orders and emails. Please don't worry, we are still in business and still shipping orders in the order they are placed. We feel this is the best way to handle our current customer orders and emails and to catch up from the holidays and the orders we have pending. You may still contact us using our contacts page to find out any order status and/or tech support questions you may have.
Thank you,
Doug
Tune files can be ordered!

The way I read the email in the first post, he won't be selling any tuning products - as in XCal, etc.

OK, that's really nice of him, of course I'm screwed because I ordered 3 months ago! So his account is on hold for a month? what about the other two months I had been waiting?

What a coincidence that he kept telling me next Monday, next week, later this week, next Monday until my 45 days were up, then no more communication from him until this? WTF is up with that?

I am so mad at myself right now I can't think straight. I KNEW I should have opened a dispute before the 45 days were up. ARGH!

Since I can't go through PayPal I'm going to have to go to Visa and of course they are going to tell me to contact PayPal.......

One question though, if he can't use PayPal, how is he going to get paid for his tunes?

Oh - sorry.

I still read that email as not selling tuning products. His site has removed all products, but tunes can stil be ordered.

This isn't what I wanted to hear. I got the same email today, I had sent him one two days ago inquiring about my order.

I have been in contact with CC company and they said it could take up to 30 days to get the money back. I waited long enough, so as long as I get it back, thats cool.

It was mentioned here, brenspeed vs bama is like night/day. I have brenspeed now and its better than stock, but I did want to experience bama. I am going to stick with brenspeed for future upgrades for now.

In the long run, I bummed about the situation. I hate to see this happen to anybody, especially a guy that was doing cool stuff for our cars.

Good Luck Doug..

And Doug is surprised his PayPal account is on hold? How about refunding payment by sending a Cashier's Check?

Oh, and one more thing...PLEASE STOP DEFENDING AND SUPPORTING THIS GUY!

So basically he took money from people for orders, didn't order anything, spent the money and is now telling everyone to go through their credit card company or paypal to get their money back. How is that not stealing people's money?

+1

But, I suggest this thread gets closed like the other one, because, honestly, it doesn't belong in this section and us venting over how we got royally screwed over in the worst possible way by this really nice, polite and helpful guy, while therapeutic, doesn't really do any good.

I had actually written a long reply to this thread, but decided against it. At least writing it helped vent some of my frustration, but if I posted it I was going to get perma-banned for sure. It sure was nice to remember how extensive my insult vocabulary is both in English and Spanish :-p

Now off to deal with trying to recover my money.......
