Default Foose or Saleen

BuySaleen.com has the Saleen Limited Edition Dan Gurney listed for $250 plus shipping. Is there any difference between this hood and the Foose Stallion? CDC doesn't have the color I need so the painted version is of no use to me.

Looks like the Foose one...

As far as the CDC one, I wouldn't discard it too quick because a painted one doesn't need to be prepped and primed. That stage is already done.
All the body man needs to do is wet sand and shoot your color.

Make sure to heat it from the bottom and take your time if you attempt this, so you don't affect the texturized finish.

The first thing I did when I was looking at this hood/shaker combo is ask CDC if a trim ring existed for that hood...
They said no, you're no supposed to use one.
I was like 'Yeah right!'
Looks like schit without it so I modified the provided one.
I sent them pictures of the car when it was done with close up of the Shaker and ring but didn't make any comments, lol.
When I saw them at SEMA they all asked me: "Where did you get that ring, where did you get that ring?" Lol, priceless!

07CalSpec, $500 is a decent quote for painting said hood.
Don't pay over $600 though.

Edit: I forgot to add an extra $100 for prep if you start with a bare aluminum hood. So $600 is a good price.

Thanks Pascal!

So would it be cheaper for me to just buy the prepainted CDC hood at $600 and repaint it or get the Dan Gurney for $250 and add $600 for painting?

How much prep and cost is involved to reshoot a prepainted hood a different color is what I'm wondering.

Materials are really expensive, so even a painted hood will cost about $500 to re-shoot in the right color (both sides).

If you can get the Gurney for #250 without the hood pin holes, it's the route to go.
If you plan to go with hood pins later, I'd still go with a plain hood, that way you're not limited on where you want those pins to be and which style to use.

BTW, aren't the Performance white hoods available from CDC?
I thought they were... If they still are, all you need is $600 +shipping.

Love to help...

Anyway, nothing much in Orlando besides the fact that I'm gonna go shopping for motorcycle gears in a few minutes.
