They painted them for you for $75 or does ford have a painted cap they sell?

For thoes that had their stock mirrors painted . Did you sand them smooth first or add a filler to smooth them out before painting?

Sand, spray on a filler primer. Sand again. Paint.

They sanded them smooth, color coated, then clear coated.

The filler primer does a very good job of getting it fairly smooth. you may need two coats of primer. I definetley think it's worht it to have the stock mirors painted as opposed to getting a cap.
