I purchased the rear-view mirror with homelink/compass/temp from the ford accessories page. Expensive but worth it in my opinion. My priority was the homelink buttons, the temp/compass and auto-dimm were a plus.

Murphdog, have you set up the homelink to open a garage door or something else with it yet? Does it work good? Nice addition, I want one.

Homelink sounds pretty sweet. How well is it working for you? My parents have it in their lexus and honda, but I noticed its not very responsive. Have to spam it. From that experience, the old fashioned openers still seem more reliable.

Since my '10 base GT did not come with a compass readout in the center stack like the premiums, I installed on of these from Amazon. Only $120 and is auto dimming (works great and there is an on/off switch for it as well). Since I already had an external temp readout which came with the car, I installed the temp probe under the dash to monitor the interior temperatue.

I haven't installed it yet but that is definately the plan. I'll have access to 2 garages so it will save space on my visor by having it.
