Thats the first ive heard that as well. the 2011 stang that was at my local car show didn't have push button start.

I think a cool place for a push button start would be the 12v power point in the center of the dash. A lady at work had an aftermarket remote start added to her Expedition, the kit used the chip from one of her keys.

When I bought my 2005 vert new, I had the dealer install a remote start. Later on I realized that I could hit the unlock button on the door three times to make the car start. You still have to insert the key to take it outa park, but I was surprised that I could start the car that way without using the remote clicker.

Did some research and found a few companies that offer a keyless ignition system with push button start. I really like the star drive from auto hub.

The 2011 does not have push button start, it has a feature where you just turn the key enough to engage the starter and the electronics take over from there. In other words you don't have to hold the key in the start position until the car starts if that makes sense.

+1 even my 07 nissan sentra I just sold had this. I sometimes hop into my stang now and then realize i need to dig my keys outa my pocket. The best part about the nissan key fob is the fact that since the keys dont need to be in the car while it is running, you can take them into say 711 or something with you and lock the car up. I really miss this feature. With the stang I have to turn it off when I just need to run inside of somewhere and I really dont want to be dragging two keys around with me. Thats just stupid.
