I really miss this feature. With the stang I have to turn it off when I just need to run inside of somewhere and I really dont want to be dragging two keys around with me. Thats just stupid.
I like the option that the first link had (and second I think) where you don't need any keys whatsoever inside the car, ever. You have the key fob which initiates automatically, push the button, and you're running. Way better than having to use a key. Yes, I know, it's easy to put your key in and turn it to start the car, but that' nowhere near as cool as a red start button

I would like to get this but just use the factory alarm and basically not use the alarm portion of the stardrive system.

Just realized you are in maryland. If you get this done I def gotta see this in person. It would be sweet to see your car in person as well. I dont see many 2010 mustang rolling around especially ones with mods done. We should try and setup a forum meet or something when the weather gets a little nicer.

Hell yeah man! I got my car back today after having flames painted on it. That's all I'll say until I post the pics. It's different and look awesome to me. I have some pics but they are indoor pics and I'm waiting for daylight before I can get some that will really do it justice. It's killing me not being able to post them yet!

Those are both pretty similar, but I like the color style of the second one better. It's sort of a silver/brushed aluminum and has an LED light around it, the same color light as I use in "my color", so I think it will integrate well. They're both great products though, very similar as far as functionality. I looked through the install instructions and it doesn't look much different than installing a remote start so should be too difficult for an install guy. One thing I like about them is that when you walk away from your car it automatically turns everything off and locks your doors. The door locking part is what I need to look into further though. I want to make sure I get it "rigged" so that I can use the key fob to unlock my doors as well as lock them. I want to completely eliminate the use of a key.

Update..... Update..... Update......

I just talked to Bruce from Digital Guard Dawg (the second link that I ordered from). It looks like the product in the second link doesn't work on door locks. The key fob engages with the start button when you get 6 feet from the car, you get in, hit start and you're good. But, you would still need to unlock the doors with the factory door key that has the unlock button on it.

So, they have another product that does everything. Costs more too. Imagine that. The benefit of the upgrade one he told me about is that it works for everything, including door locks, and the key fob is actually the size of a credit card and you can keep it in your wallet. When you walk up to your car, even with the card in your back pocket, your doors will automatically unlock, your lights will come on (if you want them to), it engages with the start button, you get in, hit the start button, and you're gold. When you get out of the car and walk away, it automatically locks your doors and engages your factory alarm (if you have one). No need for your factory keys ever again. I went ahead and ordered it. Also, if you tell them what kind of car you have, they'll create a wiring harness specific to your vehicle, so it's more plug and play than a generic version (that's for all cars) would be. He said this system is very similar to what they're putting in the new Lexus's that are coming out. Definitely top of the line product. If you're not savvy with installing something like this, any shop that installs a lot of remote starts could easily tackle the task.

Edit...... I wasn't going to order this because I noticed that the first link was almost the same thing but at a cheaper price. I called Digital Guard Dawg back and told them I was considering a different product and they knocked 150 bucks off the price. So, I got the whole setup (the upgraded one) for 599 bucks. Should have it this week and installed shortly after.
