For people out there with aftermarket radios's and subwoofers
Hey guys, I posted this in the audio section a while ago. I have the Pioneer Avic D3 in my car. I want to run the shaker subs and my aftermarket sub at the same time. What is the best way to do something like this. I have my aftermarket amp hooked up to the subwoofer output on the D3, harness. Where would I connect the shaker rca cables to??

Why not the rear speaker outputs? Most have three sets of outputs , front, rear and sub right?

You want to run the shakers and an aftermarket sub? That sounds like a terrible idea.

The outputs are for hooking up amps the subwoofer outputs are just low frequency or so is my understanding

shaker1000 - front doors are 'mid-bass' EQed from factory with sub only out of trunk mounted subs
shaker500 - front door speakers are not mid-bass EQed but just subs.
The factory EQing is totally different for the 500 and 1000 head unit.
And the non-shaker is also EQed different from the factory.
So sub output is not available unEQed in some spots on some
factory radios...
And I didnt know shakers had RCA cables to hook them to anything.
Pull the heavy OEM shaker sub out and save on fuel....

he's running a D3, so factory EQing is not a factor here.

Trust us when we say just leave shaker 500 subs disconnected. They don't keep up and make unnecessary rattles.

I got y-shaped splitter cables so I could use my Kicker CVXs and my stock Shaker 1000.
No loss in bass or response from using the splitters...
