Car manufacturers use a dyno that measures hp at the engine's flywheel, which is far more accurate than checking it at the wheels and having to guesstimate losses thru the drivetrain and in the tires.
Also, the Edmunds test was performed on a Dynojet dyno, which produces power results that are approx. 10% higher than the more realistic Mustang dyno.
