Default Question regarding fuel mileage calculator and FI???

Hey guys. Just was curious, does the fuel mileage calculator factor in when I am boost? I have no idea how it works, so I was curious if it "senses" (for lack of a better word) when i am boost and, obviously, when I am using more fuel than a "stock" car??? Thanks guys

The fuel mileage calculator work off injector pulse width so yes it should be able to compensate for boost. So I've been told by a Ford tech but I never really was interested to find out for sure.

Mine reads pessimistic- meaning when I hit the trip consol and it says "8.5 GAL USED" and I look at the pump- (and I always fill up to the same level/procedure)- the pump says 7.8 GAL ( or something marginally lower) purchased

FWIW

Since I've had custom tunes and FI they have been 10-20% off. Currently with the KB and 60# injectors, it's about 10% off. If it says I'm getting 22.1, it's more like 20 mpg.

It has to do with how fuel trims are set up and what not. Erik Brooks said he could fix it. But the other tuners I've spoken with say it's not possible.

I don't care really.

It's nice to have it close but it's not critical to me either.

Anyone who's boosted should not worry about their MPG because you're freakin fast now! Woohoo!

Ha ha, I only care on a road trip like I'm on now on trips between cities I've got to watch my mpg to make it without a ton of stops for gas. I've been getting about 23-24 going 75 most of the way, not too bad
