JLT intake/tuner combo just installed tonight
Just installed my JLT/tuner combo from BBR blow by racing tonight with my dad. Customer service from BBR was excellent. ordered on sunday, they called monday to ask for my car info, recieved thursday (today).
havent had a chance to drive the car yet.
quick question tho the tune is a 93 octane tune i have 87 in the car right now but the 50 miles to E light is on....will i be ok to drive it to the gas station in the morning???

Let us know how it goes...I'm sure you'll enjoy the extra 20hp or so you'll get out of that!!!! Makes a nice difference!

just drive it (not hard) to the gas station and I would think you would be fine. Drive like your grandmother, the only reason I would think you would have a problem is high-rpm's and the lower octane fuel starts to detonate. dont get to the high rpm's, dont worry about it detonating. simple as that :-) just my 2 cents, but hey, im no tech, so who gives a **** what i think

Easy driving to the gas station will be fine. You don't want to place load on the engine to cause detonation. After you fill up, be sure to give it another 10 miles or so to run the 87 remaining in the lines to run out of the system.
The stumbling is more likely the PCM's adaptive learning than the gas.

Dude, you'll be fine. Just don't mash it. Or keep it tuned stock! An intake isn't going to make the car "Undrivable"!
When I got my cams back, I didn't have my tune yet so I drove it home on the intake/exhaust tune that it had. It ran like crap, but I shifted at 2800 rpms and kept the rpms up a bit when I stopped to keep it from stalling. It was fine. You're sweating this for no reason.
My advice is leave it stock and go get the fuel. Like I said, simply a cold air intake will not affect your driving THAT much.
