Gauge Questions
#11
Thats what I was thinking about doing, but was wondering if there was another way that was easier or worked better. I thought I read that mounting it there causes a delay until the engine warms. Is this the one you got http://www.autometer.com/cat_accesso...il.aspx?vid=52?
as for the delay, yes...the gauge won't read anything until the thermostat starts opening up
i mounted it in the upper hose as it measures coolant leaving the block, usually reading around 80 degrees Celsius

Thanks a ton for the advise. Hopefully I can get my car in the newly remodeled garage for some more wiring fun.
By chance, do you think I could find this adapter, or and equivalent, locally to save on shipping?

Well, I took your advice and rewired the key-hot for the gauges to a fuse in the passenger side kick panel (fuse 13 to be exact - fuse panel diagram) and that took car of that annoying false reading. Thanks a lot.
