I have a question for you folks regarding a tune..now i'm not in the know regarding tunes and such..i have a "jet" chip that plugs into the pcm..and a kn intake..and a jet maf sensor..car seems to run good..however..like everyone else..i'd like a little more..what are the advantages to a custom tune vs what i have now? thanks ahead of time ..

Wait, are you saying you have a chip "module" that plugs into the wiring harness at the PCM? If this is true, I've never known of its existence.

If you mean you have an older car with a plug in module (OBD1 style), that's how it use to be. That was before PCMs in cars had flash memory chips that could be overwritten.

nope..got the jet chip 3 years ago..off thier website..it plugs into the pcm piggyback style..just wondering if its a waste of time..altho the car seems to run well.
