cheap? certainly. about $20 in parts and some labor.

vs. several hundred bucks

Mine's gone too. Shorty antenna's in the pillar. I have noticeably poor radio reception though. how far are you from your favorite radio station's broadcasts?

I would say that I am about 50 miles from a few of them. Several are based out of Indianapolis I believe. The other one, I am not sure. Its K-love Radio (christian station) so it all over I think.

One is a student ran radio station in town, but I have to turn up the volume to hear the reception. I have to be careful when I turn the station because it can be quite loud when I go to different one.

Its a retro car and the antenna is a retro design. For those who remember, the stock antenna looks normal.
