Our S197's are typically hot as hell under the hood and the engines heat soak pretty quickly. There's not much we can do about it. Even the kits claiming to be Cold Air Intakes do nothing more than decrease intake temps a few minor degrees; nothing that makes any difference.

Even those guys that were able to convert theirs to ram air weren't seeing any noticeable gains.

Was it only the 05's that had the heated TB or did the 06's have it as well? Doing a coolant reroute could save you some degrees!

I got a BBK intake from American Muscle and couldn't be happier. Gained a lot of power and gas mileage even without a tune. And the sound it makes, awesome!
