heatsoak takes away how much wrhp?
#13
I dont have a dyno numbers to tell me i lost power, i just guestimated from others that have the same mods and they say they have 310-330 rwhp. Plus every one thinks my numbers are low anyways. I thought heat soak effected n/a too. Maybe i am mistaken, but i could have sworn people talk about heatsoak on n/a and fi engines. Can someone chime in and set this straight?
cause if heatsoak doesnt effect our cars that are n/a that much i will be a pretty disappinted at my dyno numbers.

FWIW, 10-20* outside temp variations are not going to affect "heatsoak" much.
It's all the heat generated and trapped under the hood.
Higher engine heat usually results in less timing being able to be used, hence less power.

I run my dyno times as early morning as possible...cool air...(google air density calculator and see what happens as air temps increase)...heating your engine will take away power...but running it with hot air temps will make it feel like a VW Bug...try running a pull in the cool morning...then back in the late afternoon heat...and track what the air density readings are at the time...and take a coolant temp also... remember you can have only as much fuel as oxygen to support the combustion...less O2..less fuel...less power...
