They're plug and play, most of them are and they really set the car off I would recommend them. One of the most satisfying mod I've done. Mine are 8K hi/lo beam.

Also, what is the difference between the 55W and the 35W? And also from what I understand, this is the one I want?

Well it says in the description that the 55W offers brighter light which makes sense since its more then 35W.... Most kits are 35W, thats what mine are and they are plenty bright enough. And yes thats what you want...H13.

I have the 35W 4300K Retro Solutions kit and it's awesome. Perfect OEM look and great beam cutoff - make sure you order the bulb capping if ordering for (I believe) later than '06. You can check if you need it by looking at your stock lights. If they have nothing in front of the bulbs and the bulbs have a silver end then you need the capping.

Whether you need 55W, all I can say is that the 35W are very bright. They compare well to friends' cars from many manufacturers with OEM HIDs.

It's not a hard mod to do, just take the time to work on the details and it is a very satisfying improvement!

I have the retrosolutions kit and it does work well but I had the bulbs coated ( back when it was a $50 option, now they just cap them) and the coating came off within weeks of having them on the car. They never really made any attempt to help me when I email'd them, they basically said send the bulbs back and they would cap them....but how do I drive at night for like 7-10 days?

Here's a quote from a person on another forum:
You will find that a 55W kit will give you more glare in a reflective headlight given that the arc is bigger. A 55W kit will offer you slightly more light output than a 35W system however in a reflective headlight glare will be an issue.

55W ballasts are not as efficient as 35W ballasts meaning that you will have shorter ballast life given that the ballast has to work harder.

I noticed on almost all of the Mustang forums that no one mentions SharpHID.com. They are a pretty big contributor in the DSM world and that's who I bought from when I got mine for the Mustang. Great customer service and quality. Check em out.

The kit you would want:

Hmmm, I just noticed their prices have dropped significantly. I paid $140 last year for the dual-beam kit.

I forgot to mention that I would most definitely get the battery harness with it.

Even a life time guarantee I remember when I bought my first HIDs for almost $400 :/ HIDs are a great item to add to the car some people might not think so especially the ones that are in front of you, and also if it takes more than 15 minutes to install with another 15 minutes tucking and making everything neat and pretty then something may have went wrong
