Default Popping when turning at low speeds

Just thought I'd bring this up to make sure I have it diagnosed right. I just installed some springs yesterday and I was careful to remove the strut mounts so they wouldn't come apart. However, I somehow found two ball bearings stuck in the bottom of my shoe, so apparently some escaped without my knowledge, which is strange because they absolutely did not come apart at all during the install.

I am getting a popping noise and slight grinding noise during low-speed turning, and it seems to be worse when turning while reversing. Pretty sure it's gotta be the strut mounts as my car only has 32k and I really don't think the tie rods are bad. What do you guys think?

Strut Mounts for sure. The GT500 strut mounts are nice, theyre what I used, and can be had from your dealers parts counter. I think I paid around $70 for the pair.

Yup the original top strut mount from Ford is a total POS. I took mine off when it clunked after lowering and all the ball bearings fell all over my garage floor upon removal. I installed caster/camber plates because it is lowered and needed adjustment, and it also replaces the top strut mount.

I would really like adjustable plates but $250 for such a part is a tough pill to swallow. I wish they just made an upgraded mount with a SEALED bearing (like it should have been in the first place).

Ordered GT500 mounts, will probably go with the J&M mounts once I get new struts.
