Unhappy A/C Issues

So, got an 05 GT a few weeks ago. I have noticed that when I'm driving hot air (not a ton, but noticeable) is coming out of the vents. When I turn the A/C on it has the same speed for all the settings, and it low. Also the system does not seem to be segregating properly, that is, when I have it on face, a little comes out on feet. When I have it on floor, some comes out on defrost. I scanned the forums but most of the stuff is a little complex for me. If anyone has some suggestions for things that I could check to help remedy this issue it would be much appreciated. I do have pretty good knowledge of mechanics as well as more car-smart friends.

Thanks

When I have problems like this I take it to the dealer and get the AC fixed. Unless you find some AC techs in here not sure there is much else you can do. Good luck.

the heater controls are all connected through the switches, of course, and if one of the connectors/switches is playing up, then you can get all sorts of things going on.
If it was just a single symptom I'd steer you toward a specific part but you seem to have a spread of issues, so I say check those heater control switches. Could be that the previous owner swapped a radio or something before he sold it that required the removal and refit of the radio panel onto which the heater controls are mounted. Maybe one of the connectors is broken and making partial contact...........

My buddy suggested that it might be a relay in the switch, which would make sense if the system thinks I keep setting it between the air positions. Could just be as simples as the people who did the ipod cable bumped a few of the dial plugs so they're not it or w/e. I'll have a look when I can.
