Default SCT tuner worth it?

Sup guys,

I just got a intake and catback ordered, I was wondering if the SCT Tuner is really worth the cash? Any reliability problems? Any sort of issues? Thanks for any advice and help!

Depending on the type of intake you purchased, it's a must. A tuner is required for most of the mods that can be done to our cars. It will also allow you to read codes, and change your speedometer should you decide to go with a different tire size, or gears.

Your going to need a tuner or all your money you throwing in these mods arn't going to be worth it...

I don;t have one myself yet, but i have heard nothing but good things about SCT and nothing but bad about diablo. So yeah IMO get the SCT Tuner

Definitely NOT worth it. If you do NOT want your CAI to provide any power gains, then do NOT get a custom tune. It has a very negative impact on your car by making the car faster, quicker, have better throttle response, have firmer shifts... It's the LAST thing you want from your car. And don't believe all those on the forum that tell you that they've had their tunes loaded for 25,000 or 50,000 or even 100,000 miles without a problem. It's all a cover up.

I would have to agree.... I hate it when I chirp third gear in my auto with just a CAI and SCT tune and UDP's.

LOL!!

The SCT Tuner I purchased from American Muscle is one of the best performance mods I've added to my 08 V6 mustang. HIGHLY recommend. And AM's customer service too is top notch when you purchase this. Can't say enough positive things about my experience with the SCT Tuner.
