921 ST bulb life
For those of you who are considering changing your HMSL and/or backup lamps to Sylvania 921 ST, you might be interested to know that the estimated life is only 250 hours, compared to 1000 hours for the 921 and 1800 hours for the 921 LL.
The information on the 921 ST was obtained over the phone from Sylvania. The last time I checked their web site, there was no information on the 921 ST, and they did not respond to my email requesting the information on expected life.
I'm going to leave my original HMSL in place. 250 hours might sound like a lot of time, but if you drive in stop-and-go traffic, it's really not a very long life. It should be okay for the backup lamps. Your results may vary.
