bbk intake???

i have the bbk intake it does whistle when hitting the gas, and when you turn it off it sounds like it farts but hey i have a tuner so who knows...i would only get a intake if you buy a tuner..maybe try sum headers? do you have dual exaust?

Not sure on a v6, but in a GT the sound change is minimal with stock exhaust. The BBK may throw a code and may not be worth the hassle if you aren't going to get a tune. You can hear it suck in air though, if you listen very closely.

It only throws a code if you dont disconnect the battery after installing it, the car has to be put back into learning mode to adjust the A/F ratio.

Stang06, it makes that noise when the car is turned off w/o a tune aswell.

I've ran my CAI for over a month before it threw a code. IMO, a tune will ensure there are no issues.

There's nothing wrong with the BBK. I still run it with my 93 Brenspeed tune, but from browsing the threads on here for some time, the BBK is either hit or miss with throwing codes.
