whipple traction issues
Start them out at 20 psi and follow the burnout instructions mentioned before. You first few runs may have some slippery stuff happening due to the tires being new. Sometimes, not always. It's just my experience.
After my first few sets I would make sure to due a few burnouts on the street (in a safe location where you won't get a ticket) to get the tires ready for the track.
I have the stock UCA and mount. I doubt it makes hardly any difference.
Two things he can control at the track:
1. His burnout.
2. His launch RPM
Track prep is very important. Even with no track prep, he should pull a 1.80 60' or better.
After your tires start smoking, count to 4-5 then roll forward with the tires still smoking right up to where you pause before the line.
You can try riding the clutch a little on launch but I prefer to just drop it and go.
