Default Powdercoat Wheels?

I saw a sonic blue mustang with aftermarket white wheels and in my opinion it looked fantastic.

I have the stock wheels on my V6 and love the retro design, but those in white or very light silver would look fantastic.

I know nothing about powdercoating rims, but a place around here does it and does a great job.

Any cons to this process? What do you all think about the apperance if this was done?

Default RE: Powdercoat Wheels?

i think powdercoat on rims is cool. it can look awesome. Way better than paint IMO.

The only drawbacks are that powdercoat can chip when the tires are changed and they can get nasty curb rash. That's not a big deal with paint because paint is easy to fix, but powdercoat is generally alot thicker than paint and it a ****, if not impossible to repair without redoing the whole rim.

It is cool though LOL.
