Default 2012 Mustang Boss 302 allocation revealed?

It seems that an internal dealership memo snuck out and we have an idea as to how Ford will decide which dealerships get to sell the Boss 302 and limited edition Boss 302 Laguna Seca package Mustangs.

Will your local dealership get one? Even if your dealership is massive, it will come down to how many Mustangs they have sold in the past 12 months, dating back to 2009. The top 794 dealerships in terms of Mustang sales are guaranteed to get one but the rest (the bottom 25% in terms of Mustang sales) will have to enter a lottery...where they have a chance to get one, but no more than one and they might not get any.

Also, if the Boss 302 is limited enough that they have to go through all of this to decide which dealerships get cars to sell, we can probably expect a massive markup...

Looks like I'll have to build my own Boss 302.

Here is my article in the Detroit Examiner about the allocation, including pictures of the Detroit Boss 302 debut at the Woodward Dream Cruise.

I already figured that the dealer adjusted mark up was a given. Now if they end up making it for a couple year run, then it may go away like some of the Shelbys did.

Ive heard a great many rumors that we will see at least one more production year. Those rumors insisted that the 2013 models will receive the same "changes" that the 1970 models did..like the factory shaker hood...but there is no ford support for that.
