Question Hello, and steering wheel question

Hi all,

I test drove a 2011 Mustang GT today, and am impressed. (For what I'm looking for, beats the BMW 335 and 135 I test drove.)

But....being very tall, I need an after-market steering wheel. Ideally, I like to find a wheel that's 1"-2" smaller diameter, and 1"-3" closer to the driver.

After a few searches on here, and at Saleen and Roush web sights, and a few google searches, I haven't find anything.

Anyone know of after-market steering wheels like described above, that's a direct replacement for the stock wheel? (FYI, I'll likely buy base version).

Also, what's the diameter of the stock wheel?

Thanks!!!

Default Grant has one

The new Grant will give you a bit more leg clearance but is not any closer to the driver.

Thanks, I saw the Grant's, but I believe they are built on OEM steering core...so I'm wondering if they really give any more leg clearance?

Are there really no options for smaller wheel and/or extension?

I'm sure you've tried tilting the wheel?

I haven't looked at the '11 or '10 mustang yet, but that is one thing previous mustangs were lacking. A fully electronic tilting and extending/retracting steering wheel.
