E-forces and Saleens weigh over 100lbs and shipping is still $14.99 on those items. Its really a give and take, but 90% of the items that we sell cost more than $14.99 to ship. Its the little things that help and with this charge, hopefully the level of service and tech support that we offer will surpass the $14.99 charge

The flat rate sounds reasonable to me as well. I had a great experience ordering the SCT Xcal tuner with custom tunes. One of the tunes was incorrect, however, the tuning dept. emailed me the correct tune and assisted me over the phone. Excellent customer service!!!! =-)

I have been a long time supporter and customer of Brenspeed, I'm not bashing them in any way with this post. Just bringing the news to the forums.

With that out of the way, I think it is just rude that people want super discounts, great customer service and want free shipping on top. The carriers keep uping their prices, I know I was informed by fed ex that there was going to be a 5.9% rate increase come January 2011. How do you expect places like Brenspeed to survive if they are taking a loss on a large portion of items they are selling?

Yes they make some large profit on some things, but it is not pure profit, calculate costs to pay employees, health insurance, rent/morgauge plus energy costs and their profit is cut into big time.

Dont get me wrong, I love to see free shipping, but when you are buying an item anywhere between $5 to $100 you should not expect free shipping unless you are buying that item with another item.
Great point! The only customer that profits with free shipping are those who live on the west coast.

I've had nothing but great service from Brenspeed. Be glad they don't charge for consulting or tech assistance! They know their products and they provide great customer service. No need to whine over 15 bucks IMO. For most shipped items it's a steal.

Brenspeed rocks for many reasons. I can't tell you how many emails Chandler has replied to, and every single one of them has not only been polite and down to earth, but have always been honest about modifications and whether or not they are worth it. I've never gotten a bill for that either. Customer service like this rarely exists anymore, and Brenspeed stands in a crowd of very few that can claim to take care of customers the way they do. $15 won't ever stop me from buying anything from them.
